I stopped using Tumblr. I did not notice it as it must have happened gradually but as a result of not browsing endless feeds of regurgitated photos I also forgot to post my own here. Another reason for that is that I built a site for my photography outside Tumblr. I know its not nearly as convenient as following a tumblr but it allows for me to sort and present posts in a few different ways that helps browsing. And it even comes with a Shop tab!
So if you are still into sites outside tumblr go check out http://www.buildriderinse.com and the more recent http://www.buildriderinse.com/parkwarrior

1899 Kilometers in June. Thats about 1170 miles.
If you live in big city, the ride out sometimes takes longer than you are willing to spend between cars and trafficlights. So for many of us the large parks of these big cities become our training ground. Our own shortloop suburban hamster wheels gives us a second home while training. Thus the concept of the #parkwarrior was born. For the people who get up at 5am to get a few hours of reasonably uninterrupted training in going lap after lap around the parks. The riders who take a detour home from work to smash it against friends and strangers in this vacum the city created. If you are lucky to live in a place where the green stuff is just 20 minutes from your door I envy you beyond words. For the rest of us that only has a precious hour or two to spare we sooner or later find ourselves as parkwarriors.
Having spent years now in both London and New York I decided to honor these parks we are forced to love, sometimes loathe but no less ride until the city becomes our own unsanctioned Kermesse. So this is the first of two Bidons celebrating the wars we wage on our bikes. The New York parkwarrior soon to be joined by its cousin London. There will be an opportunity to cop these in a bit and info will be posted up later on.
